Project Description

Share Ministries is a fantastic food bank that serves the needy of Grayson County.  They are unique in that they don’t simply give away canned food, they pick up fresh food from local businesses and give that out to people.

People are healthier with fresh food obviously!  We’ve never seen a ministry which gives out lettuce, green beans, melons, fruit, meat and fish!

In addition, the goal of Share Ministries is simple.   Smile at people, share a laugh with them and treat them with all of the dignity that human beings deserve.  In this manner the folks at Share are spreading the love of God and are not just giving empty words, but are laboring to actively show people this love.

It’s an amazing place and if you’re anywhere near Sherman, Texas you ought to swing down and join the volunteer staff for a shift or two!
